You start holding off the thugs by raising your shield in front of yourself. However, the thugs get around behind you and hit you before you can turn around (and before the Moonbrook Brigade notices what's going on). You die realizing exactly why the Idiot Brigade has its name. Unfortunately, that won't help you much with no life.
