Westfall

"How can you dare refuse after what you've heard?" she demands, visibly trembling with rage. "After what I told you? I thought you would understand! I thought I could trust you! But your betrayal will not—" Every so often, you've seen someone get shot. You know what it looks like enough to understand why your former employer suddenly collapses mid-sentence. She is completely and utterly dead. A woman with a rifle appears behind you and tries to revive Laine and the other man. "Wake up, people," she says. "We did it." Laine mumbles something about filing a report. The other man gets up and starts giving orders to some nearby guards. The woman seems to consider them conscious and stops trying to wake them. "Well," she says to you, "you just beat the worst criminal organization in this part of the world and resolved a murder mystery at the same time. Feels good, doesn't it?"

Sweet.
