As soon as the further thugs come into view, you throw your weapon. It goes wide and only hits one; the other is protected by the side of Lou's house. The same doesn't go for Lou. You hear a deathrattle, then see the thug you didn't hit flee through a back window. Unexpectedly quickly, you find Laine. He's kneeling by Lou's corpse. "Someone with a lot of power is behind these murders," says Laine. "What have you learned so far?" He listens to whatever you care to tell him. "We're dealing with an organization here, rookie," he says. "You don't just off someone in broad daylight like this if you don't have backup. And with the red bandanas we found earlier...there's only one place that backup would be coming from." He stands up to face you. "You feel like taking a walk down to Moonbrook? Last time there was a crimson-wearing threat, it was down there."
Take the walk. Face the source of the threat. Head off to the nearby mine you may have heard could be a good source of information.
