Between Kearnen's pinpoint accuracy on the goblin and your tank's devastating firepower, the goblin is captured and brought out to your tank, his guards reduced to a higher-tech variation of sausage. The goblin introduces himself as Helix Gearbreaker. You note the irony of his next statement: That he worked for a reborn Defias Brotherhood. Not that he knows about the gear tattoo. Kearnen has strict orders to keep him alive, and you already missed your shot to defy those orders, so she brings him to the Marshal, with the two of them joining you in your tank. The Marshal decides to by turns interrogate Helix and allow you to improve the Hill's defenses, finally recognizing your technological genius. Eventually, both projects are interrupted by a scout mentioning a giant ship going by on the horizon. The Marshal wheels on Helix at once. "What is the meaning of this, goblin?" he demands. Helix shifts uneasily from one heel to the other. "I never said I stopped working for them," he says. "If I ever stopped building that boat, I would've been one of those sausages too." Kearnen kneels down to whisper to you. "We need to find out what he knows," she says. "Nowhere is safe besides the inside of your tank."
If Helix is so worried about his life, let him be cornered in your tank and spill the beans there. Unless your tank is of greater use in stopping the giant boat. Your call. You're the driver.
